an unknown address.

I am contemplating a new column on here documenting our life in Delhi.  Thinking about a good title for the excerpts of our journey pioneering a life for our family in the 8th largest city in the world.  Our departure date from Omaha is October 28th.  We will fly into Delhi and stay somewhere(unknown) while we find a flat for our family.  If all goes well, it will happen quickly and be a neighborhood that allows us to serve best.  After we find a place of our own, Graham and the eMi team will work on finding a location for the office which hopefully will be close to our family's flat since Graham just bought a fixed gear bike for his commute to work.  Still not sure how we will pack a large bicycle to take back to India?  He is banking on it all being close so that he doesn't have to spend countless hours in traffic.
So, until October 28th we will continue to make the most of the moments with friends and family.  It is pretty overwhelming being pulled in so many directions when home, but very validating and encouraging for us and hopefully will give us the energy and momentum we need to go back to India and begin a new season.

Life with 4.

Things we hear around this house...

Hudson:  "He is just the cutest thing I have ever seen."
Priya:  "Mommy I will go wash my hands and then I will pet William."
Everett:  Mostly just squeels endearingly at William while squeezing his face or poking his eyes or smothering him with a pile of blankets followed by mommy and daddy saying "give William some space or be gentle!"
Me:  "He has grown overnight."  "How can I freeze the time so he doesn't change so fast...I will get my camera."  "I keep calling him Everett."  "Hudson, can you go get me a diaper?"  "I will feed William and then we can go." "Let's talk about his birth again."
Daddy:  "What is the plan?"  "I'll get the kids in the car."  "I'll take Everett potty...oh wait he already went in his pants!" "What can I do to help?"  "William, always remember that I was the very first one to catch you and hold you."
Loving time with special well-wishers!

one summer night.

You couldn't have come at a better time a little earlier then expected.  Right after the wedding of our dearest friend and after we tucked your brothers and sister into bed.  We made our way to the hospital and strolled the gardens of the property under the stars on a quiet, cool and peaceful evening with the bugs chirping laboring together as you were letting us know you were on your way.  We walked up to the floor just in time to deliver you and hear "It's a boy!" as daddy caught you in his arms.  It was magical, intense and the memories of your arrival are still glowing in our hearts.  We made it back that morning as Hudson, Priya and Everett were waking up and eating breakfast and introduced them to their new baby brother.  Life changed for our family that night and you have flooded our hearts with love.

first comes Colorado then comes baby...

I know that we just had a monumental, life changing event here in Omaha and added to our family, but because I feel things on here must be chronological...I will review our trip out to Colorado last month.  We were gone for nearly 3 weeks and got to visit so many(but not ALL regretfully) significant people in our life.  We slept in 6 different beds, had meetings and an international conference with our eMi team and managed to pull off some rocky mountain activities.  The kids still think that all mountains are called the Himalayas.  We drove back into Omaha at sunset on a Sunday not knowing that 2 weeks later we would be birthing a precious baby boy.
Blond cousins are taking over North Platte.
Our sweet cousin Kaya.
